Man
of Destiny is a fun little one-act about Napoleon by George
Bernard Shaw. I directed it as a studio project during my
second year of grad school. It was a perfect piece to work
on in that context -- fantastic and difficult language, a small
and talented cast, and the opportunity to really explore arena staging.
My faculty was pleased with me for tackling something that wasn't
"rock and roll theatre," and the audiences ate it up.
